In this episode, Hallie talks with Mariah Woody, OTR/L all about Craniosacral therapy (CST). They discuss the importance of using light touch and how effective a gentle technique is versus deep pressure/massage. Mariah highlights that CST can benefit all of us from infancy through adulthood and the role CST plays in tethered oral tissues (TOTs), speech development and general coordination. Mariah and Hallie also discuss the importance of a collaborative team approach.
This post is priceless. How can I find out more?
Can you please specify what you are seeking?
This was awesome!! I have worked with PTs and OTs who are certified in CST for over 10 years. I took a course as well. I can see how it would be helpful with feeding and TOTs after this podcast. I have seen it work with Autism, CP ETC. thank you for having this venue to learn!!
You are so welcome!
Hi, thank you for the podcast. I was just wondering who you recommend getting training for CST?
Hi Kristie – unfortunately I have not been CST trained but Mariah Woody was trained through the Upledger Institute which is highly regarded.
